Seriously you must try this potato bake recipe, it’s a crowd favourite. If I did it again I’d swap the mustard for horseradish.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
- 10 large potatoes, peeled and sliced in a mandolin or very thinly sliced.
- 2 cups cream
- 1–2 heaped tbsp mustard
- Salt & pepper to taste
- A handful of finely chopped dill
- A small handful of thyme
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 cup parmesan
- 6 garlic cloves
- Sprinkle of paprika on top
HOW TO MAKE IT:
- Layer the potato slices upright in your baking dish
- Pour over the creamy, cheesy, herby mixture
- Cover and bake at 170°C (340°F) for 1 hour
- Uncover and bake for another 20 mins until golden and crisp
- Serve with a generous squeeze of lemon
